Privacy Policy

Satellite Industries Australia (operated by A2B Trailers Pty Ltd, ABN 66 609 680 668, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through satelliteindustries.com.au, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

When you send an enquiry, we collect the details you enter: your name, phone number, email address, company (optional), the product you are asking about and your message. When you use the site we also collect standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, to keep the site secure (for example, to limit repeated form submissions) and to understand how the site is used.

Why we collect it

  • to respond to your enquiry and give you product, availability, backorder and delivery information;
  • to prepare quotes and arrange orders you ask for;
  • to improve our website and services.

We do not sell your personal information or use it for unrelated purposes.

Who we share it with

We only share your information when it is needed to answer or fulfil your enquiry, for example with Satellite Industries, the manufacturer, including its overseas offices in the United States and United Kingdom, when we need to confirm specifications, availability or a backorder for you; and with service providers who help us run the website and email (hosting, email and website analytics), under confidentiality obligations. Where information is sent overseas, we take reasonable steps to make sure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Cookies, analytics and videos

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are popular and whether enquiries are sent. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information in a form that does not identify you directly. You can block cookies in your browser settings or use Google’s opt-out browser add-on. Product videos are hosted on YouTube; the video player only loads when you press play, and YouTube’s own privacy policy then applies.

Keeping it safe

We store enquiries securely and keep them only as long as we need them for the purposes above, or as required by law. Security logs used to limit form submissions are kept for a short time only.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you by emailing info@satelliteindustries.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Questions and complaints

If you have a question or a complaint about how we have handled your personal information, email info@satelliteindustries.com.au. We will look into it and reply in writing. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page.
